Time to rest

So it's been a crazy crazy week and it's only Wednesday! Thank God it is my day off tommorow. My mom went in for knee replacement surgery on Monday. She is currently at hospital about 50 minutes away. My dad stayed until a couple hours after surgery and then had to go to a conference on the other side of the state until Friday. That leaves me by myself trying to care care of the house and watering both lawns as well as taking care of the dog, two cats, and three hamsters. The last two days have consisted of work and driving down to see my mom, then coming home to sleep. Tonight I stayed home after work because my mom is doing much better and I actually worked out in the yard and cut some fresh lavender. I am going to make some little bunches of fresh lavender and freshen up the house. Tonight I finally got to spend some time just with God relax for once. I saw TAbetha too! I hope we get to find some time to go out and do something.

Clarissa's Wedding

Well, what a splendid day! Thanks to the Lord for the gorgeous weather. It was just the right temperature with a little breeze. Ok, so it's my second time being a a maid of honor and my third time being a bridesmaid....what is that phrase "three times a bridesmaid, never a bride". Well I don't agree with that. I had a wonderful time in Clarissa's (my cousin) wedding. The day started off about 7:30 am and we had plenty of time to get ready. It was so relaxing to just have lots of time. Clarissa did get quite nervous as time went on, as she didn't have any butterflys in the weeks before. I knew it had to hit her like a rock on the day of the wedding. Some funny moments were:
-While walking down the aisle with her dad on her left and her step dad on her right side the breeze was blowing the aisle runner all over and she was trying to look graceful without tripping and lauging at the same time.
-The Manor that the wedding took place overlooks a river where lots of rafters were enjoying the rapids and towards the end of the ceremony when Pastor did the vows the rafters were yelling and screaming as if applauding them on there marriage. I couldn't stop myself from laughing as Clarissa was also.
Anyways, I am happy that they are off to a new life together and pray God's blessing and protection upon their marriage.

rainy june weather

So it's beeen a while. Today I was sent home from work because of a soar throat. It really wasn't that bad that I couldn't work, but I guess my boss just doesn't want the rest of the employees to catch this bad virus. There have already been 5 other employees out with it the previous week. So, I'm sitting at home catching up on emails , sleeping a little and relaxing and.......watching it rain AGAIN! It has been raining almost everyday in the month of June. Although we do get some sun, the clouds always seem to come around at least one time in the day or sometimes all day. Just on Sunday my mom, dad, and I watched the black clouds roll in over certain sections of the valley and all of the sudden it started to hail like crazy. It was pellting the metal door at the back of the house so loudly it sounded like airsoft bbs hitting it violently. It hailed for about 10 minutes and then the rain came pouring violently as well. What an exciting storm to watch and not have to be out enduring it. So, finally when the rain let up a bit I went outside and there were piles of crushed ice size and bigger of hail in the back of my truck and all over the yard. It reminded me of snow, only in the month of June.
