Terantula

Ok, so it's been a while since I've had to do school work. Let's say about 4 years!! I knew a four year college would be more work, but wow, this is a lot of work. I'll only get through this by God's wonderful and complete grace and much prayer and discipline.
Yesterday, as I was walking out of the Caf from lunch, two guys had a to-go-box and a twig. Hmmm...what are they doing? Above them was a terantula which they were trying to trap it inside of the to-go-box. Sounds like a good meal, huh? Well, their mission wasn't successful so it still resides on the campus.

Crazy things during WOW week

Ok, so now that the crazy week is over I finally have sometime to share a little. WOW week is week of welcome at Master's. It's a week dedicated for new students to learn the distinctives of Master's while having a lot of crazy and exciting events. We did so much this week that I won't go over all of it. I'll just give you some highlights. We got to go to the beach and swim in the cold ocean. I returned with a bad burn on the back of my legs. We visited a church in LA and learned about some ministry opportunities of the ghettos in LA. We had a country western night and a hawaian night. The hawaian night was also the night where people had the chance to go down the slip in slide made out of visquine, dish soap and a hose. I did not choose to do that. :) The last event was the Master's Cup. This event happens every year where each dorm competes in a relay race against each other (guys and girls compete seperately). Each dorm gets there dorm colors on. Each dorm and it's brother dorm (guy and girls dorms have brother and sister dorms that they team up with) get together and start their chants and cheers and walk down to the gym. Knowing how college students can be loud, you can imagine the excitement and intensity involved. To make a long story short, it was a ton of fun and involved a lot of excitement. I was on the last part where we had to make a ten person pyramid and have the top person sing the ABC song and jump off to grab the bowling pin at the end of the gym. Well, we were about 15 second from getting 1st place. We got second instead which is still really good, but just not as satisfying as 1st. As one of the guys in the 1st place said, "Winning isn't everything, but it sure feels good." That's my week in a nutshell. Next week classes start so don't be surprised if I take longer to update again.

Dedicated to the best adopted family

Oh, how I love this great family so much! What a blessing you all have been to me in the last couple of years. I am going to miss all of you while I am here at Master's. I will miss your hugs so much Amber and your close friendship by my side. Talking on the phone just doesn't top being in the same town. Ebony and Jordan: you are just like having a little brother and sister and I will miss playing games at the church and all the fun we have together. I miss being at the house and all of you begging me to come play with you. I know I will enjoy coming home again for holidays and breaks.
Andrew and Bronwyn: you are a treasure in my life. I will miss all those late night talks about random things and all the counsel that you have given. I treasure your advice and listening ear.

New Beginings

Ok, so I finally made it back to the blogging world. I have been thinking about blogging for the past month and never made time for it until now. So much has been going on lately. Let's see....I went to Creation for a day. That was a lot of fun. Audio Adrenalines Adios was really good. I was going to leave before their last song, but I couldn't cause I was having too much fun. I ended up leaving the Gorge around 11:30 and getting to bed around 2:30 am. ugghh...The next day at work was a little rough.
My last day of work was simply great. I have been so blessed working at the hardware with such a wonderful crew. I got gifts from three different coworkers and a surprise cake and card waiting in the break room with most of the employees down there. It was a wonderful day. What a way to be encouraged as I head off to school again!
Oh, yes! I bought a car finally. So, I decided after about 2 years looking for a car that I finally had a deadline to buy one. I think people can call me a professional car window shopper since I never buy them; just look for cars. God sent me to the perfect used car. I will have to upload a picture of the blessing He gave me. I totally give Him the credit for giving me the car.
I am moving in just 5 days! AHHHHH! I can't believe my time is up already. I think I'm excited. Ok, I'm excited and I'm a little nervous. It's the whole TRANSITION that I don't like going through at first. I will miss everyone in this little ol' town and family and familiar faces. I will even miss my old job too. Where there is an end, there is always a new begining.
